Justin Timberlake was in London for the premiere of his new song “Can’t Stop the Feeling” over the weekend, and today (May 11) he sat down to detail more about his upcoming album and who might be on it.

It sounds as though, whether it will be for Timberlake’s or The Weeknd’s new album, the two are talking about making something together. “Funny enough, The Weeknd and I have been talking about doing a collab. Maybe for his…he’s working on an album,” he said. Timberlake wondered out loud whether he was even allowed to say anything about it yet, but then eventually admitted, “We’ve talked about doing something together.”
Elsewhere in the interview, he shared how it was his role as executive music producer on Trolls that inspired him to start working on his own music. “Working on the music for this movie just got me really excited about being back in the studio again,” he said. But there’s no real finish line in sight, because he’s still in the midst of figuring out the album’s scope “I don’t know exactly what it’s going to be yet because we’ve just really started, but I like it a lot,” he said. “I like it a lot.”
Timberlake may be ready to share songs off that project, but listeners won’t learn anything more until he’s completely finalized everything, and from the sounds of it that could take some time.
